Estimated take-home amount per payment
Per year
Estimate only. General information, not advice. Uses 2026–27 ATO Schedule 1 withholding coefficients and Schedule 8 where selected, rounded per payment. Normal recurring salary only. Annual tax-return liability, offsets, voluntary contributions, special bonus/termination schedules and employer-specific payroll rules may differ.

PAYG withholding is not a tax assessment. This engine supports standard ATO scales 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, with Schedule 8 STSL. It does not implement family Medicare levy variations, tax-offset withholding declarations, working holiday makers, bonus/termination schedules, payroll-tax or Fair Work entitlements. Annualised salary may produce per-pay rounding differences.

Build a regular pay period
Calculate current-period hourly wages, overtime, casual loading, taxable allowances and effective prospective salary sacrifice. Results use the 2026–27 ATO withholding scales, not annual tax divided by pay periods. Bonuses and back-pay are excluded.

Take-home pay
Estimate only, general information, not advice. Assumes all overtime and allowances shown are ordinary taxable wages for this pay cycle; super is a simplified illustration on ordinary time earnings and may differ under awards, employment terms and ATO OTE rules. Prospective super sacrifice only; applicable contribution caps are not calculated. Reimbursements must genuinely be non-taxable. Bonuses, commissions, retrospective payments and termination amounts require separate ATO schedules.

Bonuses, commissions & back payments
Calculate withholding for an additional payment using ATO Schedule 5 Method A, including a HELP/STSL component when selected. For bonuses relating only to one pay period, use normal wages instead. Method B and employment termination payments are not supported.
Your additional payment
Estimated take-home pay
Estimate only. General information, not advice. Ordinary wages are withheld separately; additional payments are averaged over the nominated pay periods, with a combined 47% PAYG/STSL cap on the additional payment. The result excludes extra voluntary withholding, super, offset declarations and employment/award calculations. Use Method B for a potentially closer end-of-year outcome.

Back payments & year-to-date bonuses
Method B(ii) uses year-to-date earnings and prior bonuses. Method B(i) recalculates withholding on affected current-year pay periods. Select the appropriate method for your payment and check your historical payroll figures.
Method B details
Estimated net pay
General information, not advice. For B(i), this simple interface assumes the same gross salary, backpay portion and previous withheld amount in each affected pay period. For different historical periods, use payroll records and the ATO's full method. B(ii) requires accurate YTD figures; it excludes B(i) withholding from the total and should not be used alone for mixed-year backpay. PAYG for termination, lump sum A/E, working holiday makers and tax offset variations are not modelled.

Termination details
Amount after withholding
Estimates only, not a tax assessment or a determination of employer entitlements. Correct classification and prior-payment information are essential. No STSL withholding from lump-sum termination payments.
